Oviloo is drawn to the image of hands, which recur frequently in her recent sculptures. She explains that, “our hands are the most useful parts of our bodies. When I look at my hands, I am amazed at what they can do.” Here, she is feeling a piece of stone in preparation for beinning a sculpture.
