ON MY FATHER’S SHOULDERS
Cape Dorset, 2002
Stone, 15.5 x 8 x 7”
Oviloo: “I remember Toonoo giving me a piggy-back ride. Up there
on your father’s shoulders you get a much better view of the world
when you’re a child. This was a day when I was about five. We
walked and I fell asleep on his shoulders. When I woke we were at the
top of a hill and it was the most beautiful scenery I had ever seen.”
