Sheojuke Toonoo (1928 - )

NAIMAJUK (POLAR BEARS SNIFFING FOR CLAMS)
Cape Dorset, 2002
Etching, Edition of 18, 11 x 12.75”

Sheojuke: “Can you see the clams? When the tide has gone down on the beach, the polar bears can smell them. Bears eat anything! This one is an etching on plexiglass. I found it even harder to do than on copper because the plexiglass scratches so easily.”
