Concurrent with the Baker Lake print exhibition, we will present an exhibition of wall hangings by Gloria Inugaq Putumiraqtuq. One of the rising stars of the younger generation of textile artists from Baker Lake, Gloria is the step-daughter of Winnie Tatya. She carries on the tradition of combining appliqué and intricate embroidery in colourful compositions featuring animals, spirits and human figures.
