Annie Pootoogook (1969 - ) Annie selects a surprising cut-away view to simultaneously show the
hunters, their catch and life under the ice. Without indicating a particular
fishing spot, the rolling hills in the background are typical of the
Cape Dorset landscape. Compositionally, the patchy snow on the hills
serves to balance the dark and light patterns of the seabed below.
