Arctic Transformations: Carvers at Fenbrook
resulted from an art-for-charity initiative involving Inuit artists housed in a federal prison in Ontario who donated their art for auction to raise money for the Illitiit Society of Nunavut. The book profiles nine individuals, with biographies and photos of the artists and their work, and provides background on the carving program at Fenbrook within in the context of contemporary Inuit art. It was produced following auctions in Toronto in 2002 and at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa in 2003.
