AN INUIT PERSPECTIVE is the catalogue for the exhibition of the same name that opened on July 1, 2000 at the Inuit Heritage Centre in Baker Lake, Nunavut. Individual sculptures by thirty-three artists are fully illustrated in colour, accompanied by artist statements. The sculptures are from the Sarick Collection in the Art Gallery of Ontario and were selected by a unique process involving the featured artists. The essay by Marie Bouchard illuminates this process in the context of placing this work in the larger perspective of contemporary art.
